About Us

Bill Moseley photoBill Moseley got his start in the potato processing business in 1951 when he started his company, Santa Barbara Frozen Foods.  The company processed and packaged frozen potatoes for retail, private label and  foodservice distribution.  After Bill sold the company in 1957, he moved to San Francisco and became the Sales Manager for Ore-Ida Foods.  Ore-Ida Foods was sold to the H. J. Heinz Company in 1965 and Bill continued on with Heinz working out of Boise, Idaho until 1971 when he left to form the W. H. Moseley Company.  Mr. Moseley was still active in the business when he passed away in October, 2013 at the age of 89.

W.H. Moseley Company became a woman-owned, small business entity when Shirley Osborn purchased the company in 2015.

For more than 40 years, the W. H. Moseley Company has had a successful and proven track record in the sale of frozen and dehydrated potatoes.  The company excelled in importing, exporting, private label and foodservice sales throughout the United States, Canada and the Pacific Rim.  That excellence continues today with foodservice sales and USDA contracting.
